Little Rock, AR, January 9, 2026 – Samuel Piazza has been named as shareholder and director of Gill Ragon Owen, P.A.
Piazza joined the firm in 2018 as a law clerk and started as an associate after passing the bar exam in 2019. “It’s a great place to work,” Piazza shared. “We work very hard for our clients, but there’s also a family atmosphere in the firm. Everyone knows each other on a personal level.”
He’s found that the time has passed quickly from starting as an associate to becoming a shareholder, and he’s looking forward to the firm’s growth. “Gill Ragon Owen does a good job of growing quickly while maintaining culture, which is a hard balance,” Piazza explained. “One thing I love about the firm is that we do everything. Our firm represents clients ranging from publicly traded companies to small businesses to individuals in domestic matters. There’s very little we can’t take care of. If I get a call from someone needing assistance outside the scope of my practice, I can walk down the hall and find someone to help immediately. We get to be good citizens, family members, and colleagues, while providing the best possible service to our clients. I would like to see us grow exactly the way we have been: steady, stable, and collaborative.”
Piazza primarily represents public utilities before the Arkansas Public Service Commission. He also practices in various areas in business transactions and corporate law, including documentation of commercial lending and real estate transactions.
When not in the office, Piazza can be found spending time with family, attending Razorback football games, or hunting and exploring Arkansas’s great outdoors. He and his wife, Olivia, are expecting their first child this spring. He and Olivia will chair the 2026 Southern Silks Stakes to support Methodist Family Health Foundation later this year. “The thing I love about being a lawyer is the way our work involves the intersection of public policy, economic development, advocacy, and public service,” Piazza shared. “I’m honored to have been asked to become a shareholder of such a great law firm.”
