Biography:
Chad Cumming is a shareholder and director with Gill Ragon Owen, P.A.
Chad Cumming’s practice focuses on the legal needs of Arkansas families and businesses. Chad helps businesses in structuring and documenting finance transactions, asset acquisitions and dispositions, corporate law, securities offerings, real estate development, and general business law. His clients include lenders, small and medium private businesses, real estate developers, the Little Rock Fraternal Order of Police, and public entities. Chad is a certified loan closing attorney for Small Business Administration 7(a) and 504 loans as well as Foreclosure Commissioner for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
A native of Little Rock, Chad earned his undergraduate degree at Westminster College, his teaching certification at the University of Texas at Arlington, and his master’s degree in Education Administration at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Before entering the practice of law, Chad spent a decade in teaching and administrative positions in both public and parochial schools. Chad graduated with honors from the UALR William H. Bowen School of Law and joined the Arkansas Bar in 2008.
Chad is very active with the Greater Little Rock, North Little Rock, and Sherwood Chambers of Commerce, the Venture Center, and other local business groups. Chad has served with many local organizations, including the United Cerebral Palsy of Arkansas, Arkansas Autism Resource and Outreach Center, the Board of Trustees for Camp Mitchell, and the Executive Council for the Episcopal Diocese of Arkansas. Chad and his wife Jennifer have two children, and they attend St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church in Little Rock. Chad and his family are avid hikers and self-described exercise nuts. This means Chad has more than the average number of mosquito bites as well as a certification as CrossFit Coach. When Chad is not working, he is probably with his family lifting weights at the gym or hiking Arkansas’ gorgeous trails.
